Cada vez que usamos los pinceles dejamos restros de nuestra grasa facial, o la del cliente, restos de células muertas y otras suciedades y gérmenes aparte del resto de maquillaje, algo que no queremos dejarlo ahí para el siguiente uso, aparte de que es una manera de que los pinceles no duren mucho, que se estropeen con más facilidad.
Everytime we using our brushes we leave rest of our facil fat, of the client facil fat, rest of dead cells and other types of dirt and germs, apart from rest of makeup, something we dont want to leave there for the next use, also this way the brushes are easily damaged. Os voy a aconsejar dos procedimientos de limpieza de pinceles y brochas, uno es necesario hacerlo después de cada uso y el otro lo podemos realizar una vez a la semana ya que la limpieza es más profunda.
I am going to suggest you two different ways to clean your brushes, one is necessary after each use and the other one can be done once a week for deeper cleansing.
Rutina después de cada uso
El primero como todos sabéis es la limpieza através de limpiadores de pinceles, muchas marcas de cosmética tienen en su línea limpiadores de pinceles, la ulitización de estos limpiadores es muy sencilla, cogemos los pinceles, el limpiador y un kleenex, dependiendo del difusor del producto si tiene pulverizador, pues lo pulverizariamos directamente sobre los pinceles, si tan solo tiene una rosca usariamos un pequeño recipiente, por ejemplo un vaso de chupito, e iriamos mojando los pinceles en el producto, y cogeriamos el kleenex e irimaos suavemente deslizando el pincel mojado en producto por el kleenex para ir eliminando todo tipo de resto de maquillaje y como estos productos suelen contener alcohol a la vez lo estariamos desinfectando.
Routine after each use
The first routine as everyone of you knows, is the brush cleanser that many cosmetics lines has it, the use of these types of products is very simple, we will take our brushes, the cleanser and a tissue. Each brand product has it´s different type of diffuser, if it´s a spray we will spray the product on the hair of the brushes and if it´s just a screw cap we will use a small container or a shot glass and we will dip the brushes in, then take the brush and very gently glide the brush dipped in product in the tissue, this way we will get rid of all the makeup and because these products contain alcohol at the same time sanitize the brush.
Yo personalmente tengo dos limpia pinceles, uno de Make up Forever que me compré ya hace tiempo pero que no parece demasiado bueno, y uno que me compré de Kryolan hace muy poquito, pero que ya había utilizado, que es una maravilla, con unas gotitas se lleva absolutamente todos los restos de maquillaje que pueda haber, ya sea en polvo o cremosos, es una maravilla. I have two brush cleanser from two different brands, I bought the Make up forever brush cleanser a few months ago and it´s good but it´s not great, and last week I bought the Kryolan professional brush cleaner, I had already used, and it´s amazing, the best one I have ever used, it so powerful, it cleans the brushes so quick and so good than with just a one week of using I am loving it!

There are recipes for homemade brush cleanser, ingredients are:
-125ml de agua destilada
-1 cucharada sopera de alcohol. (para desinfectar)
-1 cucharada sopera de mascarilla o acondicionador
-1 cucharada sopera de jabón desengrasante (lavavajillas)
-1 cucharada de champú
-125ml of distilled water
-1 tablespoon of alcohol (for disinfecting)
-1 tablespoon of mask or conditioner
-1 tablespoon fo soap degreaser (dish soap)
-1 tablespoon of shampoo
Lo mezclamos todo en un contenedor y listo para usar, podremos hacer la cantidad que querando respetando las proporciones de cada ingrediente.
We will mix it all and put it in a container, we can do the quantity that we would like, respecting the proportions of each ingredient. Este tipo de limpieza es muy practica y rápida y al tener alcohol muy higienica, pero aparte de esta limpieza después de cada uso, una vez por semana suelo hacer una limpieza profunda de todos mis pinceles y brochas.
This type of cleansing is very quick and practical, and because it contains alcohol is very hygienic too, but apart from this everytime used cleansing I am doing a deeper cleansing every week.
Rutina semanal
Mi rutina para limpiar los pinceles y brochas semanalmente es muy sencilla, necesitas jabón o champu para los pinceles o brochas de pelo natural y lavavajillas para los pinceles o brochas de pelo sintético.
Everyweek routine
My everyweek routine for cleansing my brushes is also very easy, you will need soap of shampoo for the natural hair brushes and dish soap for the synthetic brushes.
Limpiaremos cada uno de ellos individualmente frotando con suavidad para no dañar los pelos, no dejando que la virola se moje (virola: parte de metal que separa el mango de los pelos), para evitar que pueda introducirse agua por dentro y haga que el pegamento que sujeta los pelos se ablande y pueda soltarse, aclararemos con abundante agua o en un recipiente con agua limpia, para no dejar ningún resto de producto. Retiraremos el exceso de agua con un kleenex o toalla, pondremos los pinceles y brochas a secar preferiblemente en una posición diagonal hacia abajo o vertical, para ayudar a que toda el agua restante se vaya, podemos apoyarlo en algún objeto y pondremos una toaña o paño debajo para absorver el agua que vaya soltando.
We will clean each of the brushes individually rubbing gently to avoid damaging the hair, not letting the ring get wet (ring: the metal area that connects the handle to the hairs), to avoid the water inside of the ring, where the glue can get wet and soft and get loose the hair. Rinse thoroughly. Take the exes water with a towel or tissue, and we will leave the brushes to dry in a vertical or diagonal possition, to help all the water leave the brush into the towel that we will put below the brush.
Otro truco para mantener los pinceles o brochas de pelo natural más suaves y como el primer día es poniendoles una mascarilla de pelo durante unos minutos una vez cada dos semanas más o menos, es pelo natural así que hay que cuidarlo y os aseguro que hace muchisimo!A tip to maintain the natural hair brushes soft and like the first day we can leave a hair mask for a few minutes every two weeks, it´s natural hair so we need to take care of it like your own natural hair, and it works great!
Otro consejo que os quiero dar es algo que seguro que mucho de vosotr@s sabréis y lo haréis pero puede que muchos de vosotr@s no, sé que es más fácil tener todos los pinceles y brochas en un recipiente, un cubelete o un vaso para tenerlas más a mano pero que sepáis que de esta manera están cogiendo una cantidad de polvo y posibles gérmenes increible, aunque sea más incomodo es recomendable mantener siempre tus pinceles y brochas tapados, ya sea en una manta o en algún repiciente o caja cerrados para preservarlos del polvo, esto es algo importante ya que si pasan varios días entre uso y uso el polvo acumulado puede ser importante.

Another and last tip for now, is something than a lot of you know and you do it but I want to tell you anyway, I know its easier to put all your brushes together in a container or glass, but you need to know than this way they are getting a lot of dust into them, even knowing that it´s less confortable it´s recommendable to keep your brushes covered, in a brush blanket, or in a drawer or a box closed protected of the dust, cause you dont want to use a brush full of dust the next time you will use them!
